…Marcel Franke – Who I am…

Portrait 2013

I’m a consultant working for pmOne AG based in Germany (Europe) with around 10 years of experiences in building and designing Data Warehouse & Big Data solutions based on the Microsoft & Hadoop platform.
As part of an Advisory & Research team I’m responsible for the area of Data Analytics & Data Science in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and we supports the largest Analytical projects in the German speaking area. In addition to that I regularly share me experiences on several conferences in Europe and on my blog.
My special focus is Data Warehouse, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Prediction & Data Science, Cloud, SSIS, Scale-out and Performance Tuning.
You can find my profile also on:

So why did I start writing this blog? Well there are a lot of good blogs out there focusing on the pure technology like SQL Server, High Availability, SSIS, … But what I think is missing is a best practice and guidance oriented way on how to build solutions especially in the area of terabytes.

Hi Marcel, I have tried to get help from Microsoft, and get no where, tried to get help from SAP and againm no where. The issue I am having is connecting to SAP BW through SSRS using VS2015 and the netweaver connector. The SAP team say they have checked they have checked the data integrity to no avail. When I connect to certain infocubes I get the error:
The selected cube [ZMM_TPM01/ZMM_TPM01_Q001] could not be loaded.
    (Microsoft Visual Studio),

    and then another clue

Part-field access (offset = 0, length = 5) to a data object of the size 2 exceeds valid boundaries. (XML for Analysis Provider)

Any ideas. I am reaching out to anyone who can help.
